RIVER VIEW PUBLIC SCHOOL

River View is a school that serves students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.  Our primary goal is to enable students to achieve academic excellence and outstanding citizenship in a safe and caring environment where learning is engaging and fun.

River View P.S. is also the home to the Cedarbrook Child Development Centre, which is a daycare for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.  The centre also offers before and after school care in our library and gym for school-age children.

In addition to regular curriculum school programs, River View also provides interschool extracurriculars including: soccer, x-country running, basketball, volleyball, softball and track & field.  The River View Bears are known for skill and sportsmanship in all areas of athletics.

Intramural clubs include: Quilting Club, Bake Club, and the River View Rooks Chess Club.  River View students in grades 7 and 8 also have the option of participating in the the Waterloo Gauss Math Contest. Intramural sports include: primary/junior soccer, floor hockey and running club.  We participate for fun and fitness.

River View also provides a range of after hours special events including: family dances, Christmas Concert, school barbecue and Curriculum Night, Primary Celebration, Family Science Night, and CODE's "Inspiring Your Child to Learn and Love Mathematics" sessions.

River View's School Council is a dedicated group of parents, students and staff members who usually meet on the third Tuesday every month.
